MangaVerba Terms of Service

Last updated: October 30, 2026

Draft — provider details remain to be supplied. The ages 13–17 mode, providers and content-processing arrangements require further preparation. This is not yet a final version for publication.

These Terms explain MangaVerba, accounts and points, the handling of submitted content, and how to report problems. They concern the website, not a mobile app or subscription. You can save or print this document using your browser.

1. Provider and scope

MangaVerba is available at https://mangaverba.com. The provider is: Grupa MangaVerba. Users, rights holders and authorities can contact contact@mangaverba.com. We handle correspondence in Polish and English.

“Account” means an individual user account. “Source Content” means comic images, files and text selected by the user. “Translation” means the automatically extracted and translated text. “Points” are units used only to account for reader features.

We make these Terms available free of charge before the agreement is concluded. The Privacy Policy explains data processing; it is not consent to unrestricted use of personal data.

2. The service

  • a reader for comic pages from a user-specified address or files selected on the user’s device;
  • automatic text recognition and translation of dialogue, narration and sound effects;
  • an account, point balance and transactions, a private library and personal translation edits.

MangaVerba does not operate a public comic catalogue. Comic images are not stored in its account and translation database, but may pass through its image proxy and temporary Cloudflare cache. Translation text and library records are stored on the server as explained in the Privacy Policy.

A publicly accessible link or the technical ability to retrieve a file does not establish permission to translate it, submit it to an AI provider or otherwise use it.

3. Technical requirements and security

You need internet access, an up-to-date browser supporting JavaScript and images, and an email address to register. A session cookie is necessary to stay signed in. Local storage supports settings and saved translations.

Not every source website, format or browser is necessarily supported. Source availability and provider limits can affect the reader. When reporting a problem, include the source and a description, never your password or API keys.

Use a unique password and keep your device updated. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. We do not automatically make you liable for every action performed by an unauthorised person.

4. Age and minors — scope of this draft

The Service is not intended for children under 13. A planned mode for ages 13–17 requires a legal guardian’s participation and permission where required by law, age-appropriate safeguards and a provider that permits this use.

The mode for ages 13–17 has not yet been implemented and verified. This draft does not confirm its availability or compliance with provider requirements. Its conditions, guardian involvement and available features must be defined before these accounts are admitted.

Guardian permission to use an account does not replace separate data-processing consent where legally required, or override a translation provider’s age restrictions.

5. Account and agreement

You enter into an indefinite agreement for a free account by submitting the registration form with an email and password and accepting the Terms made available to you. Confirm your email using the link sent to you; it is valid for three days. Translation requires a signed-in account and the access requirements stated in the Service.

An account is for one person. Do not sell, rent or share it to bypass limits. Do not create additional accounts to obtain repeated introductory bonuses.

A password-reset link is valid for one hour. We do not email passwords. Contact us if you no longer control the account email and need assistance.

6. Points and charging

  • A new webtoon, manhwa or manhua page costs 10 points; a manga page costs 15. A complete long image counts as one page even when processed in sections. Page counts are not chapter counts.
  • Page type is identified automatically. For an unknown type, the system may temporarily reserve 10 points and add 5 if the page is classified as manga. If the full amount is unavailable, the reservation is returned and new access is not granted.
  • Unlocking another user’s existing translation costs 7 points for webtoons or 11 for manga. Reopening your previously paid pages does not incur another point charge.
  • If translation of an incomplete page fails, the points charged for that page are returned. You can complain about an incorrect classification or missing refund; automated charging does not remove this right.
  • An introductory bonus is granted after email confirmation once per mailbox, in the amount displayed before it is awarded. Mailbox aliases and registering again do not qualify for another bonus. Addresses identified as temporary do not receive it; you can request human review of an incorrect denial.

Points do not expire while the account and Service remain active. They are not money, a payment instrument or a bank balance and cannot be transferred between accounts. This does not limit statutory rights to repayment, complaints or withdrawal where applicable.

7. Packages and future payments

Purchases are currently unavailable. The displayed packages of 15,000 points for USD 5.99, 35,000 for USD 9.99 and 80,000 for USD 19.99 describe planned tax-inclusive prices. There is no subscription or automatic renewal.

We currently collect no card details and do not sell through Paddle. Naming a planned payment provider does not mean that a contract with it has been concluded or user data has been sent to it.

Before sales launch, we will provide the applicable order conditions, seller details, final price and taxes, delivery arrangements, complaints, withdrawal and refunds, and confirmation on a durable medium. We do not impose a blanket “all payments are non-refundable” rule.

8. Content rights and limited processing permission

Comic, character and source-material rights remain with their rights holders. MangaVerba does not grant a publisher licence or make a translation official or authorised.

Use only material you own, are appropriately licensed to use, or have another legal basis to process for the particular acts involved: access, submission, recognition and translation. Restricting use to private reading does not legalise an unlawful source or every use of a derivative work.

To the extent of rights you actually hold, you authorise technical processing, transmission to necessary providers and storage solely to perform the requested service and protect it. We do not take ownership or acquire a general advertising licence to your material.

Results from public-address pages may be reused in the reader for other accounts. Results from device uploads and personal edits are associated with the relevant account. Do not submit confidential material or other people’s data you are not entitled to process in this way.

9. Prohibited use

  • Do not publish, sell or distribute third-party comics or translations without a legal basis. Do not use the Service to operate an unauthorised library, piracy service or mass redistribution workflow.
  • Do not bypass a source’s paywall, login, DRM or other security controls. Access to a lawful source does not automatically permit every form of processing.
  • Do not submit unlawful content, child sexual abuse material, non-consensual intimate content, threats or privacy violations. Do not direct age-inappropriate material to minors.
  • Do not attack the Service, manipulate charges, steal data, remove rights notices or bypass limits using bots, bulk accounts or a modified client.

Ordinary browser use or accessibility tools are not, by themselves, prohibited automation. These restrictions protect the Service and others’ rights; they do not remove statutory entitlements.

10. Automated translation and availability

An external AI system generates the text and page classification. It may get meaning, speakers, order, names or bubble placement wrong. Results are not certified translations or professional advice. You can save your own text edits for your account.

We take reasonable steps to operate the Service properly and securely. Technical interruptions, request limits and provider refusals may occur. Disclosing possible errors does not remove contractual conformity obligations or complaint rights.

Each party’s liability follows applicable law. We do not generally exclude liability by saying “at your own risk” or restrict mandatory consumer protections.

11. Illegal-content and rights notices

Send notices to contact@mangaverba.com; you may use the subject “Illegal content notice”. An official form or Service account is not required.

  • Explain why the specified content or activity is unlawful and identify the work or right concerned.
  • Provide an exact source, chapter or page address, or other details allowing us to locate the material in MangaVerba. Do not send copies of child sexual abuse material.
  • Give contact details and, if representing a rights holder, the basis of your authority insofar as needed to assess the notice.
  • Confirm that, to your knowledge, the information is accurate and complete. Legal exceptions may limit the identifying information required.

We assess notices without undue delay, considering urgency and the parties’ rights. We may seek clarification, restrict a particular result or take other justified action. Where contact information is available and legally permitted, we acknowledge receipt and communicate the decision.

A person affected by a restriction can request human reconsideration at the same address, identifying the case and reasons. This does not exclude remedies provided by law or the Digital Services Act insofar as it applies to the Service.

12. Complaints and consumer rights

Send account, points, classification or translation complaints to contact@mangaverba.com. Describe the issue and give enough information to respond and identify the case. Unnecessary documents or data are not required.

We respond within 14 days of receiving a complaint, using the correspondence email. Any statutory consequence of failing to reply in time applies where required.

Where digital-service conformity law applies, you retain the remedies it provides, including bringing the service into conformity and, when appropriate, a price reduction or withdrawal. An automatic points refund does not exhaust statutory remedies.

You may seek help from a consumer ombudsman, the Polish Trade Inspection or a competent ADR body. See polubowne.uokik.gov.pl. Your right to bring a court claim is unaffected.

13. Cancellation and withdrawal

You can cancel a free account at any time through account deletion or by contacting us. Where a statutory distance-contract withdrawal right applies to the agreement, the usual deadline is 14 days from conclusion.

You can notify contact@mangaverba.com with an unambiguous withdrawal statement, the agreement date and details identifying it. No particular form is required. Example: “I withdraw from the MangaVerba account agreement concluded on …; account email …; name …; date …”.

Merely visiting the website or accepting these Terms does not automatically waive withdrawal rights. Any exception for paid digital content or services requires the statutory conditions to be met and will be explained before sales begin.

14. Restrictions and ending an account

For breaches of law, security or these Terms, we may impose proportionate measures: a warning, a limit, restriction of specific content or account suspension. Where possible we explain the reason and how to challenge it. Immediate action may be necessary to prevent harm or comply with law.

We do not terminate arbitrarily merely because a particular user is unprofitable. Termination of the free service for an important organisational or legal reason ordinarily involves at least 14 days’ notice, subject to legal requirements or urgent protective measures.

Deleting the account ends access and removes its library, edits and point balance from the active database. The Privacy Policy explains other retained data and backup limitations. Closing an account does not extinguish claims or repayments due by law.

15. Privacy

Before submitting content, read the Privacy Policy at https://mangaverba.com/prywatnosc. It explains account data, image processing by providers, shared results, device storage and individual rights.

Accepting these Terms is not marketing consent or permission for unrestricted data disclosure. Refusing an optional operation must not block an unrelated service.

16. Changes

Changes may be necessary for law, security, correction of non-conformity or a justified feature change. We will communicate material contractual changes by email on a durable medium at least 14 days in advance, explaining their reason, scope and timing. Urgent legal or security measures do not remove statutory rights.

We do not retrospectively change charges for paid pages or turn a free account into a paid one without an express order. New prices do not remove acquired rights.

Where the Consumer Rights Act governs a digital-service change, its additional requirements apply, including a valid contractual basis, no additional cost, durable-medium information and termination rights, including the applicable 30-day period for a material negative impact.

17. Applicable law and languages

Polish law applies without depriving consumers of mandatory protection in their country of habitual residence. Court jurisdiction is determined by law, not exclusively by the provider’s location.

The English version is for convenience. The Polish text is the reference in case of discrepancy, subject to clear-information duties and mandatory consumer protection; the language provision does not remove these rights.

The date above identifies the document update. A version marked as a draft requires provider details and the stated preparations to be completed before adoption as final terms.

This English translation is provided for convenience. The Polish text is the reference in case of discrepancy, without limiting mandatory consumer rights.
